Innovation Management
Innovation Management
Innovation is determined by the transformation of what has been invented. For the production process and market placement.
You can define the management of the innovation of technology as the process orientated to organise and direct available resources, like technocal or economic, with the objective to increase knowledge and technology, generate new ideas, products or services or better existing ones for the production or marketing cycles.
The strategy of management of the technology of a company usually is developed remembering three complementary elements or axes:
- markets
- technologies
- clients
The first point of innovation is invention and exploitation. The process of invention covers all aspects needed to create new ideas and put them into working order. The process of exploitation supports the process of commercial development, application and the transfer of ideas, the evaluatiuon of objectives, the transfer of the results of the investigation and development, and the future utilisation and difusion of these results.
The invention is determined by the discovery of something new, normally designed in a laboritory. On the other hand, the innovation is determined by the transformation of what you have invented, like the processes of fabrication found in a market.
Technological innovation is a process that goes through different phases, with significant variations in the princpal and auxilary questions. The key is to find an organised way of searching for responses to the different questions.
Another basic point is that the innovation produces technical forces developed inside the organisation, but with a large interaction with the external environment, like the market. The proactive search for technical elements or emerging markets as well as the obtaining of data from outsourcing, are very important aspects of technological innovation.
All conducted studies about sucessful innovations have shown that the innovators, or group of, were very perceptive of the needs of the client and the activity of its competitors, and used significant amounts of external technology.
